I just want to say that all the women who have had miscarriages are in my prayers. I miscarried our fourth child on Oct. 16, 1997. I was 5 weeks along. I had fertility problems and wanted that child so much. Every year on Oct. 16th we say a prayer and let loose a white balloon in memory of "Alex." My husband suggested we name our child since he/she was a child and not just a fetus. We don't know whether the child was a boy or a girl so we named our child a name that could be either. My husband also had a small pearl added to my "mother's ring" because we have 4 children, 3 on earth and 1 in heaven. I encourage moms and dads who have miscarried to find little ways to honor and remember their tiny child.
