SPECIAL NEEDS
When parents learn that their child will be or has been born with special needs,
they often need to deal with emotional, spiritual, medical, physical, intellectual,
financial, and practical issues. When the dream of parenting a “perfect” child
and a “normal” child is shattered, the reality of the hard road ahead can be
overwhelming. Only another parent who has undergone a similar situation can
share the depth of this trauma.
Emotions can be overwhelming and the feelings of anxiety and uncertainty can
leave parents desperate for information. We offer resources and contacts with
other parents who can help. Call your local Elizabeth Ministry for a visit from
an Elizabeth Minister or mentor or call us here at Elizabeth Ministry
