Our deepest sympathies are with you and your loved ones as you go through this difficult time. No information or support can take away the pain, however, we have provided some resources for grieving and processing your loss as well as some links for additional assistance.

Miscarriage or Stillbirth
Miscarriage involves a number of potential significant losses and is a complex grief that can involve an additional kind of suffering that is not necessarily present with other types of bereavement. Not only has a couple lost their baby, but they seldom get a chance for a funeral and burial. Elizabeth Ministry and the Life & Loss Center provide support for grieving families and appropriate burial vessels.  The Life and Loss Institute also trains pastoral ministers and hospital staff to reach out to grieving families during this difficult time.

Stillbirth and other infant or child death is a lonely journey that can only be understood by another grieving family. Our mentors have been down that same sad road.

Our Wall of Remembrance is a memorial to babies who have died in this way. Contact us about having honoring your precious little one in this fashion.

Infant or Child Crisis, Diagnosis or Death
When parents are faced with an infant or child crisis, they often need to deal with emotional, spiritual, medical, physical, intellectual, financial, and practical issues. When the fantasy of parenting a “perfect” child and a “normal” child is shattered, the nightmare of reality can be overwhelming. Only another parent who has undergone a similar situation can share the depth of this trauma.

Emotions can be overwhelming and the feelings of anxiety and uncertainty can leave parents desperate for information. We offer resources and contacts with other parents who can help.

Post Abortion Healing
No term can adequately express the heartbreak that abortion causes, but for the purposes of identification we will call it Post-Abortion Trauma.

Common feelings associated with Post-Abortion Trauma include guilt, grief, anger and regret. These feelings frequently manifest themselves through anti-social, self-destructive, and other abnormal behaviors. Many people who suffer from Post-Abortion Trauma experience flashbacks, nightmares, and varying degrees of depression.

The Life & Loss Institute offers a healing retreat for post abortion care. This is facilitated by professional therapists. We also sponsor a bible study for those
who have suffered this type of loss.
